Biography

I was born in Cracow, Poland.

Since I was a child, I liked nature, the forest and the countryside, even though, or perhaps because, I lived in a concrete housing area. Since Kindergarten I have been fascinated by magic, and I had the feeling that the magical world was right next to me, waiting to be discovered.

By the age of 13, I realized what I wanted to do in life: paint and run my own studio with painting classes. Regardless of circumstances, this vision has become so ingrained in my life that it has become my mission, which I consciously follow. I have always been interested in sharing my art with the public. I had my first solo exhibition at the age of 17, and since then I have exhibited independently or in groups in Poland and Germany. I chose my studies with my own artistic development and art pedagogy in mind. I decided to study education in fine arts at the Pedagogical University in Cracow.

During my studies I undertook various experiments and artistic works ranging from ceramics, lithography and photography to murals in restaurants.

I spent the last year of my studies in Augsburg as part of a student exchange programme. I felt very much at home in international company, as from a young age, in my spare time, I had travelled all over the world with my parents and enjoyed the diversity of nature, architecture, cultures and tastes. As I grew up, I continued the fascination with travel that had been instilled in me and enjoyed gaining more experiences in getting to know people and places.

I completed my Master's degree with a distinction. My degree consisted of a thesis on the chestnut tree motif in Cracow's Art Nouveau architecture and a series of watercolours depicting the architecture of Augsburg University campus.

After graduating, I moved to Berlin in the hope of developing as an artist in an international city. I started working as an Art teacher at a school, set up my own company in art, but I mainly focused on teaching. My own business had to wait for the right moment, but I pursued my passion, painting, at home.

I found the big city of Berlin overwhelming and searched for more contact with nature. I found it in nearby Potsdam, which fascinated me so much with its forests, lakes and gardens that I decided to move there.
I currently teach art at the International School in Potsdam, which is located in a forest, and personally I live with a view of the forest. I find my balance and harmony in it.

During my studies I had to adapt to the thematic and artistic framework taught. After my studies, I experimented with the subjects of my works, drawing inspiration from nature, art nouveau and steampunk. I painted with oils, acrylics, soft pastels and watercolours. These experiences led me to immerse myself more and more in the world I created by choosing watercolour techniques. I am currently concentrating on depicting the world I have created, inspired by "Alice in Wonderland", and deepening my fascination with the ephemeral technique of watercolour. I particularly resonated with the motif of rabbits and mushrooms, each of which has a rich symbolism that alludes to magic, esotericism, dreams, fantastical worlds and sexuality. I have combined these two elements to create a whole new world and enriched it with my own style of painting. I immerse myself in the creation that comes directly from my soul, which seems to have been waiting for this opportunity to appear in this form all my life. I spend my days inspiring children to be creative themselves, and I follow the inspiration that comes from me in my own paintings. I feel that this creative journey has just begun and I invite you as a passenger to discover more creations that come from a fascination with magic and nature.
